The best feeling in the world is being on set with a filmcrew, working out the shots and rehearsing the scene, preparing for hours just to shoot a couple of minutes of footage. While cinema has always been a thread throughout my life, to find myself on a filmset with dedicated and passionate people and to be able to say “ACTION!” is an absolute joy.
Back in 2018 when I graduated I was already working as a freelance filmmaker, mostly for company’s, artists, events and such. It’s been a great way to learn everything about camera’s, editing, scripting, sound, color grading, etc. However, I felt I wasn’t reaching my full potential.
So the last two years I’ve been working on a transition: less corporate video’s, and more actual filmprojects and documentaries. Since then I’ve been a part 7 shorts, and 2 documentaries.
I’ts been extremely rewarding picking up the reign as a director, co-writing stories with a great team and producing my first short films. As the icing on te cake, our first two films also went to Hollywood and Cannes.
